Online Learning Website for School
Problem Statement: Students go to school to learn and have a better career in the future, Covid Happened and everyone had to stay home, which led Kids to have online classes. Families want to make sure that their kids get a proper education while they find work. Kids who are home, online studying are finding it hard to keep themselves motivated for school & Teachers also struggle to make sure that their students attend and excel in school.
Research Reference
Even though this is a practice project I made for my portfolio. I didn’t want to create a UX design without any research, cause as they said “if you're not doing research then you are not doing UX”. I figure out that I may not be able to conduct proper research like I want to, but I can be sure that the articles I referenced are well researched therefore that makes my design decisions have a basis on facts. If I am able to go further, however, I would choose to conduct a contextual interview to observe users in their natural environment and Surveys where I can ask teachers qualitative questions like what online platforms do you use and why? what are the things you implemented for online learning and why? for students, I would ask, why are you in school? what motivates you to learn? & How do you study?

Defining the problem
I sort out and arrange all the data into 4 categories. Putting all the problems in red, and the solutions the users did to encounter the problem in yellow, side by side.
Tech - Students and teachers are having a hard time Troubleshooting the software they are using, it disrupts learning and wastes time. Students are more likely to finish and do their assignments if they know the software. These are the reason why Teachers schedule live sessions to discuss and go over instructions.
Support - Online Learning Slows Students Progress, They are behind the supposed school curriculum Schedule and It's Harder for them to keep engaged with virtual lessons. They are less motivated and feel like failing. Teachers However say that if they see 2 students having the same question they will put an announcement for everyone to see. Some say They do either a live video or Recordings during lectures and will make sure to have a one-on-one video call to check in students every week
Resources - Some Students live in an area where internet access and Wi-Fi are hard to get or slow. They fear that they won't be able to join or maintain online access to classes and assignments. Some students are experiencing financial hardship and are still expected to turn in all homework & projects on time. Teachers are considering new learning methods like “flipped classroom style” which allows students to first view lectures, then during online, they go over the problems and assignments. They create group projects and have online students meet on google hangouts or zoom to connect and work together.
Structure - Students struggle to create structure away from the classroom and this results in them feeling that online classes have more work than normal classes. The school states that they find students to have support and a schedule, they tend to do better. Teachers do one-on-one live sessions to teach students how to create a schedule and which to prioritize.

Design Inspirations
Sketching a Wireframe
This is a quick time-lapse video Sketch I made with Procreate on my iPad. Procreate makes it easier for me to brainstorm and create really quick sketches before I forget my ideas, The paper and Ipad works kinda the same as a pen and paper but with an iPad, I can easily undo by tapping on my 2 fingers as for paper I still have to either erase it with an eraser or draw from scratch.

Building A Prototype
These are both my medium-fidelity and High-fidelity prototypes. the medium-fidelity prototype shows the view logged as a student, and how would they navigate around my product. on the High-fidelity prototype is the teachers logged in and how they can use my product.
